Join the workshop.

iQhayiya Design Workshop looks for people who take pride in the work — architects, technicians and graduates who want to serve municipalities, government, private developers and home owners across South Africa.

Studio

Form follows site orientation.

The practice was established in 2006 and trades from 5 Darent Place, Manaba. The directors, Kayalethu Qwalela and Mfundo Maphumulo, are SACAP-registered professional architects. The name IQHAYIYA translates to pride in isiXhosa. That is the standard we hold for the buildings and for the people who make them.

We are a design-orientated office. The work includes precinct planning and urban design, community infrastructure, and supervision of the building project. If that is the kind of practice you want to grow in, we want to see your work.
